The Wapello Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer department located in Wapello, the county seat of Louisa County, Iowa. We are housed in one station located at the intersection of Prairie and State Streets. We have 31 active and probationary Firefighters. The backgrounds of our personnel range from Firefighters, Firefighters/EMT's, Paramedics, Divers, and Support Personnel.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. The first meeting is our business meeting and the second meeting is a training meeting. If you would like to find out more about the department and what we do, please feel free to call a member or come to a meeting, we can accommodate 35 members and would welcome anyone who would want to become a firefighter.
